The Mercedes GP team will unveil its new Formula 1 car on 25th January, the German squad revealed on Friday.

The launch will take place at the car maker’s museum in Stuttgart.

The car will then run for the first time at the Valencia circuit on 1st February, when this year’s pre-season testing will kick off officially.

Mercedes will race under its own name during the 2010 season after taking over the Brawn GP team last year. Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg will drive the ‘Silver Arrows’ this year.
