F-1 Notes: Mercedes Focused On 2011

FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium — It happened a while ago, but it was only at Spa that Timo Glock confirmed to National Speed Sport News an amusing tale. During the winter some hooligans were pelting Glock’s house with snowballs, so he telephoned the police. “Hello,” said the policeman who answered the phone, “This is Michael Schumacher.” Obviously it was not the seven-time world champion but a policeman with a sense of humor, when Glock said, “Hello, this is Timo Glock and I would like to report…” and he went on to tell the policeman what was going on

CytoSport dominates at Mosport

CytoSport Porsche duo Romain Dumas and Klaus Graf dominated the Mosport Park round of the American Le Mans Series, which was halted 26 minutes early when a barrier was damaged in a massive accident. The incident happened after Jonny Cocker's Drayson Lola made contact with the GTC class-leading Orbit Porsche of Luke Hines, sending the GT car heavily into the wall. Hines was unhurt but the barrier required substantial repairs, resulting in first a long yellow, then a stoppage of nearly an hour, and finally the abandonement of the race when it became clear that permanent repairs would take too long.

Graf, Dumas Secure Mosport Glory

MOSPORT, Ontario — Klaus Graf and Romain Dumas won American Le Mans Series Grand Prix of Mosport Sunday, taking Muscle Milk Team CytoSport’s Porsche RS Spyder to victory in a race called after 2:19 running. Graf and CytoSport take first pole

CytoSport took its first American Le Mans Series pole at Mosport Park as Klaus Graf beat Dyson's Chris Dyson and Highcroft's Simon Pagenaud in a thrilling qualifying battle. Although Le Mans winner and Porsche factory driver Romain Dumas is in the CytoSport Porsche this weekend in place of injured owner/driver Greg Pickett, the team entrusted regular driver Graf with qualifying duties - and he did not disappoint

Wickens clinches bizarre Spa victory

Robert Wickens scored perhaps the most bizarre win of his career in a rain-struck opening GP3 race at Spa-Francorchamps this afternoon. The Canadian Status driver rode his luck but arguably played the rules to perfection after a heavy storm hit the track midway through the race. When the field reached La Source nearly everybody spun, including leader Wickens, who hit the wall hard
