Kivekäs on Top Again Down Under

After visiting the most famous track in motorsports at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the IZOD IndyCar Series at iRacing ran the contrast program by going as far away from the 2.5 mile oval as you can get – from the center of a metropolitan area with 1.7 million inhabitants in Indiana to a road course on an Australian island south

Good Night, Richard

Night time was the right time for Englishman Richard Towler, as he returned to his winning ways under the lights in last night's NASCAR iRacing Series World Championship race at Richmond International Speedway.   In the series' first race under the night sky, Towler started from the pole and took command of the race early en route to his fourth

Towler Wins Indy, Huttu Takes iWCRR Title

Claiming his first ever victory in the iRacing World Championship Road Racing Series (iWCRR), Richard Towler became the first person other than Greger Huttu to chalk a mark in the winners column by taking Round 15 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. The Englishman started a drama-filled online race from pole position and, within a few laps, was leading

Towler, Wood Suspended from Upcoming iWCRR Events

The iRacing.com Competition Committee has suspended Richard Towler and Derek Wood from the next two online racing events in the iRacing World Championship Road Racing (iWCRR) series and placed both drivers on probation for the remainder of the 2010 iWCRR and NASCAR iRacing Series World Championship as the result of tactics they employed during Saturday’s iWCRR event at the Indianapolis

Sheehan Storms Atlanta

One week after completely stealing the show in the NASCAR iRacing Series World Championship race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Steve Sheehan returned to AMS for the NASCAR iRacing Pro Series (NiPS) to lay a whooping on his fellow sim racers that will not soon be forgotten. Sheehan not only lapped almost into the top five, he did it in the

The iRacing.com Skip Barber Race Series visited its first international venue of 2010 Season Three this past week at the classic Circuit Park Zandvoort. The virtual representation of this world-renowned race track was a favorite for many sim racers, but more so to those who also belonged to European clubs. The enthusiasm for the classic Grand Prix track was shown

SpecRacer Fords go Round and Round at Charlotte

Week Four of the 2010 Season Three schedule took the SpecRacer Ford Challenge sim racers to Concord, North Carolina for a run around Charlotte Motor Speedway's 2.24-mile "roval" (or "road course oval"). The overall points lead continues to be dominated by Division One drivers, with Gaston Taberner continuing as the series leader with 568 points, with Daniel Lopez moving up

The American Sports Car

Throughout my life, American cars have been pretty much regarded by Europeans as rubbish. Compared with European sports cars, the supposed American sports cars even more so. Of course they have had their moments in movies. The ’68 Mustang GT 390 was iconised by Steve McQueen in the film “Bullitt” for instance and even the modern day Shelby Mustang GT500

Round Three: SSCA – Grand American Championship presented by O’Neil PC Systems

Round Three of the Simulate Sport Car Association's Grand American Championship (GAC) presented by O’Neil PC Systems was held in the picturesque surroundings of Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.  A fabulous venue to visit in real life, Barber presents the sim-racer with a highly technical and challenging race track.  Visiting this track for the first time in SSCA competition, drivers

NiCCS Does Chicago

Season Three, 2010 hit the one-third mark as the NASCAR iRacing Class C Series (NiCCS) rolled into Chicagoland Speedway, the site of Week Four's online racing action. It marked the first time this season the trucks were on a mile and a half track, and the action was sure to be intense. Most races were full of lead changes and
